Colecciones

Las colecciones incluyen más de 4.300 libros y revistas, colecciones de manuscritos que datan de los siglos XVIII al XX, microfilms, archivos temáticos, mapas, cintas de audio y vídeo y fotografías. En conjunto, estos materiales documentan muchos aspectos del crecimiento y el desarrollo de Santa Bárbara, y de las vidas de las personas que han vivido en esta zona, así como de otros sitios del presidio, historias étnicas y comunitarias, y las tierras fronterizas españolas más amplias. La colección también consta de más de 1.000 objetos, que se utilizan para interpretar el Presidio y la Casa de la Guerra histórica a través de exposiciones históricas y artísticas permanentes y rotativas.
Manuscript Collections
This collection includes unpublished materials created by Presidio-area families and organizations, which were donated to the Presidio Research Center. Maps and Plans
This large collection includes maps, architectural plans, and graphic materials for research use. Printed and hand-drawn maps date from 1788, with a copy of a drawing of the original Presidio plan by Goicoechea, and cover the town of Santa Barbara through its growth as a city, focusing on blocks, neighborhoods, city, and county.
